An unplanned trip to Hatta Dam Kayak

“Gosh!!! Forgot the water!!!” Abruptly, I uttered in our Toyota truck. It was just soon after the beginning of our unplanned trip to the “Hatta Dam” on the second off day (3rd December). This time the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government announced two days off on it’s 47th national day which is celebrated on every 2nd December prosperously not only by the nationals but expats as well.

On 2nd December we stayed at our place and attended some guests all day and then left in night for seeing another buddy at Lehbab. So, we had dinner at him and had some rest of a while gossiping. Next morning after breakfast around 10 Kousar suggested going out to Hatta Dam known as “Hatta Kayak” so, left for it.

Hatta Kayak is a unique tourist destination in Dubai and UAE. The vast lake formed by Hatta Dam and its surrounding mountains is becoming so popular among those who seeks relaxation in a natural place and looks for a new experience of practicing kayak sport in UAE. You can visit it throughout the week but from morning 6:30 to evening 5:30 only. This place is the best for those who love boating, kayak and riding water bikes. There you also can find and hire at affordable rates the tour boat, pedal boats, Donut boats, yellow boats and many more.

We enjoyed the beauty of mountains while on the way to the Dam. Hatta is famous for its greenery, history and heritage. The road surrounded by its beautiful green trees, plants and fields were expressing the real peace and relaxation through nature. But due to some restrictions for the safety purpose we were not able to taste the beauty of swimming in the green water of dam. But anyhow we should not be sad for such restrictions or rules regulations as they are for our safety and benefits. I would recommend this place for visiting who comes to Dubai.
